Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants seeks a Mechanical Construction Manager for a major Data Centre project in Europe. The role reports to the Mechanical Project Manager and offers career progression opportunities and strong support.

Responsibilities include leading pipework installations, risk assessments, procurement oversight, and ensuring safety standards. A degree in Building Services/ Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in a similar role are required, with Data Centre experience

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in a similar role.
• Experience with M&E contractors in Ireland or the UK.
• Proven track record leading large teams.
• Data Centre project experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project team to install pipework and ensure timely execution.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments and ensure HVAC deliverables meet safety standards.
• Oversee project handover from estimating and manage procurement of equipment, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Document and cost scope changes, support monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Maintain labour resources and two-week look-ahead schedules and manage project progress.
• Ensure compliance and safety standards are met and drive continuous improvement.
