Designer Group is seeking a Project Director (Mechanical) to lead the Operations team for our data centre business. You will drive project delivery across Europe, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion to high quality standards while managing senior project personnel and stakeholder expectations.

The role requires Mechanical HNC or degree and 10+ years of experience, with a proactive management style aligned with our values.

Qualifications

• Mechanical HNC, Degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years relevant experience in mechanical project delivery.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental systems.
• Lead the operational delivery of projects across Europe.
• Develop procurement strategies and manage subcontracts.
• Oversee planning, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Coordinate design, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors and report progress.
• Attend and lead progress meetings and manage project variations.
• Carry out additional duties as required.
