Job summary
GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to head the electrical function on major data centre and mission-critical projects in Germany. You will drive design reviews, submittals, coordination with BIM and subcontractors, and oversee installation through to commissioning and handover.
The role requires a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, 7+ years’ experience on large-scale electrical builds, and an EU passport.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience delivering large-scale electrical projects.
- EU Passport is essential for this role.
- Experience with LV & MV systems, design standards, and commissioning.
- Experience with technical submittals, design reviews and contractor coordination.
Responsibilities
- Review electrical designs and identify issues or improvements.
- Coordinate technical submittals, procurement and equipment delivery.
- Collaborate with BIM, design teams, subcontractors and clients for project delivery.
- Manage electrical installation, walk-downs, testing and commissioning.
- Support design development, technical assessments and engineering documentation.
- Monitor progress, quality and compliance with standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
