Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd is seeking a Mechanical BIM QA/QC professional to join the Dublin-based team in Citywest. You will oversee 2D to 3D model conversions, coordinate clash-free asset information models and contribute to as-built documentation across major projects.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' mechanical experience or a pipefitting/plumbing background, with strong AutoCAD/Navisworks/Plant 3D skills and document-control awareness. On-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ mechanical work experience or a qualified Pipefitter/Plumber.
• Experience with Autodesk Suite products (Navisworks, AutoCAD, Plant 3D).
• Ability to read, interpret and understand specifications/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor 2D schematic vs 3D output conversion.
• Monitor modelling standards for clashes in drawings.
• Coordinate 3D Asset Information Model.
• Produce images for clash reports.
• Assist in creating as-built documentation.
• Follow document control processes.
• Report progress to the Project Manager.
• Attend client meetings as required.

We have an exciting opportunity for aMechanical BIM QA/QC to join Suir Engineering. This position will be based in our office in Citywest, Co. Dublin.

What you will be doing?

• Monitor 2D schematic vs 3D output conversion.


• Monitor modelling standards for any clashing drawings.


• 3D coordination of Asset Information Model.


• Produce images for clash reports .


• Contribute to the process of creating as built documentation.


• Follow document control processes.


• Liaise with the Project Manager reporting on progress.


• Attend meetings with Clients as requested

Is this the job for me?

• Suitable Candidate must have a minimum of 3 year’s relevant Mechanical work experience or Qualified Pipefitter/Plumber.


• Experience in utilizing Autodesk Suite of products.


• Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures.


• PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, ,Navisworks).


• Previous experience of producing AutoCAD service drawings.


• The ability to read, interpret and understand specifications and drawings.


• Ability to prioritise workload according to deadlines.


• Ability to work as part of a team.
