Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Ability to operate knives, saws and other hand or power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Slaughters livestock and prepares carcasses for further processing in accordance with food safety regulations.
• De-bones, trims, cuts and prepares meat products using knives, saws and other hand or power tools.
• Operates machinery to mince, mix, cure, and vacuum-pack meat products.
• Sorts, weighs, labels and packs meat products for storage and distribution.
• Cleans and sanitises equipment and work areas, maintaining hygiene, HACCP and health and safety standards at all times.
