Job summary

TEG is seeking a proactive Warehouse Manager to lead Stores operations in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will manage stock levels, coordinate material flow from receipt to production and raise purchase orders with suppliers to meet production needs.

Ideal candidates will have experience in stores or warehouse roles within manufacturing, strong organisation, and proficiency with ERP systems like SAP.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores, warehouse, stock control, materials management or similar role.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good commercial awareness balancing material availability, purchasing cost and inventory levels.
• Strong communication with Production, Planning, suppliers and other departments.
• Attention to detail in stock quantities, material specs and system transactions.
• Experience with inventory management or ERP systems.
• Proactive problem solving during material shortages or changing production priorities.
• Ability to own the Stores function and see material requirements through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the operation and organisation of the Stores function.
• Manage stock levels of raw materials and production consumables to meet production requirements.
• Monitor inventory and address replenishment and shortages.
• Raise Purchase Orders and work with suppliers for materials at competitive prices and lead times.
• Coordinate with Production and Planning to align material availability with schedules.
• Manage flow of materials from receipt to Production and ensure timely availability.
• Coordinate material cutting and ensure proper identification and availability.
• Ensure incoming materials are checked, identified, recorded and stored for traceability.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP ERP and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate regular stock counts and maintain stock accuracy.
• Establish minimum and maximum stock levels for regularly used materials.
• Develop supplier relationships and support performance in price, quality and delivery.
• Maintain a safe, organized Stores environment and issue materials to Production.
• Support improvements across stock management, purchasing, flow, Stores organisation and ERP processes.
