Job summary

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (Singapore) PTE. LTD. seeks a Fleet Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and commercially viable operation of the fleet. You will lead a high-performing team, manage client relationships, and drive continuous improvement to uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.

You will promote group initiatives, support software systems, and ensure compliance with regulations and audits while coordinating maintenance and budgets to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
• Chief Engineer or Master Mariner qualification preferred.
• 3+ years as Technical, Marine, or LPSQ Superintendent on relevant vessels, or 5 years in ship management/owning operations.
• Experience with Container/Bulk vessels is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and propose improvements across BSM services.
• Lead fleet teams and manage client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and audits.
• Monitor vessel maintenance and data quality for clients.
• Manage fleet budget and approvals.
• Promote Group initiatives and vendor relationships.
