Job summary

Boston Scientific Cork seeks an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to lead a high-volume, highly automated value stream. You will develop engineering capability, drive equipment reliability, and guide validation and process improvements while prioritising patient safety and product quality.

The role requires strong problem-solving, Lean Six Sigma experience, and a track record of cross-functional leadership within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Honors degree in engineering or STEM.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience leading engineers and technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment and controls.
• Experience in validated quality systems and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for highly automated lines with near 24/7 operation.
• Coach and develop Manufacturing Engineers and technical resources.
• Own equipment health, reliability and capacity planning for the value stream.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for complex issues.
• Drive OEE, throughput, cycle time, yield and process capability improvements.
• Oversee qualification, validation and change control activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Process Development and Maintenance.
• Lead capital equipment projects from requirements to production handover.
• Ensure safety, quality and compliance in all manufacturing activities.
