Job summary

Web Summit's Media team in Dublin seeks a bilingual PR/media professional to build relationships with Chinese journalists across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Chinese-speaking markets.

You’ll identify stories that resonate with Chinese audiences, coordinate media opportunities and help position Web Summit, its speakers, partners and startups in the Chinese media ecosystem, using WeChat, Weibo and other channels.

Qualifications

• Native Mandarin Speaker with fluent English communication.
• Strong understanding of Chinese media landscape and tech ecosystem.
• Experience building relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• Familiarity with WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu and related platforms.
• Ability to craft compelling Chinese-language content and campaigns.
• Comfort with AI-assisted tools and data to guide outreach.

Responsibilities

• Identify compelling stories and build relationships with journalists.
• Coordinate media opportunities and position Web Summit in Chinese media.
• Develop relationships with top Chinese media, influencers and communities.
• Manage content for WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Weibo, Douyin and other channels.
• Own content tracks and become an expert on relevant outlets and reporters.
• Use AI and data tools to improve efficiency and maintain records in Salesforce.
• Convince world-renowned media to cover Web Summit and speakers.
• Develop and execute coverage planning strategies with major outlets.
