Qualifications

Job description

Who are we looking for?

Carne is seeking an experienced and ambitious AML/KYC specialist to join our growing AML Client Services team. In this position, you will act as a Manager, supporting a team of KYC analysts and driving the development of our Know Your Asset (KYA) function.

The successful candidate will be based in Dublin and will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the KYA service to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will have the opportunity to build and nurture strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and take an active role in onboarding new KYA clients.

As we pursue ambitious growth targets, you will be part of an ongoing program focused on evolving our KYA operating model across people, governance, clients, new business, oversight, technology, and change. You will have a direct impact on the continuous improvement of the KYA service and contribute to strategic initiatives across the firm.

You will work closely with other members of the AML Management team, your own functional team and cross‑functional teams within Carne.

Minimum Requirements
  • 3‑5 years’ experience in a similar role, such as TA / investor or client onboarding.
  • University degree (or equivalent qualification), ideally complemented by a relevant AML or Compliance certification.
  • Strong practical knowledge of AML/CTF regulation and the ability to apply AML policy and procedures in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Experience in performing KYA (Know Your Asset) due diligence is desirable, as is exposure to Luxembourg AML/CTF regulations.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Responsibilities
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and perform Quality Control (QC) reviews for junior staff for KYA and KYC activities.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team development.
  • Oversee the execution of KYA reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
  • Perform QC reviews on team outputs and ensure remediation and training on any issues as they arise, escalating high‑risk items within escalation protocols.
  • Ensure daily screening processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external (client) stakeholders, attending service calls and client meetings to provide updates and resolve queries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business units and support functions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of KYA processes, technology, and controls.
  • Support automation and digitalisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
