Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a fast-paced FMCG site in Donegal. This hands-on role involves preventive and follow-up maintenance on equipment, supporting production lines and ensuring safe, reliable operations.

You will work across mechanical, hydraulic and fabrication tasks, assist with project work, complete maintenance paperwork, and contribute to efficiency targets. Own transport is essential due to the location.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial experience, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment.
• Experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Mechanical maintenance experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Some experience supporting or delivering project work.
• Basic knowledge of effluent treatment systems would be beneficial.
• A proactive and dependable approach, with the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills.
• Ability to work to agreed deadlines and drive projects forward.
• Own transport arrangements are essential due to the location of the role.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out timely preventative and follow-up maintenance to help maintain line efficiency targets.
• Following up on external maintenance schedules and ensuring outstanding work is progressed.
• Supporting daily maintenance activities across a busy FMCG environment.
• Assisting with mechanical, fabrication and hydraulic-related work.
• Helping to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
• Supporting project work and driving assigned projects through to completion within agreed timelines.
• Completing all relevant maintenance paperwork to the required standard.
• Assisting with basic effluent treatment system-related activities where required.

About Your New Job

As a Maintenance Technician you will support the day-to-day running of the site by carrying out preventative and follow-up maintenance on equipment and machinery.
