Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Engineer in Dublin North to join a busy production and packaging operation. You will maintain, improve and optimise plant performance, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities while driving reliability and continuous improvement on the factory floor.

The role suits an engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and hands-on involvement on the shop floor. Days, 6-2, 40-hour week, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Fitter or Craftsperson with maintenance background.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance and fault finding.
• Proficient with CMMS, reporting tools and maintenance planning.
• Committed to health & safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Mechanical breakdown diagnosis and repair.
• Root cause analysis.
• Continuous improvement activities.
• Reliability and uptime improvements.
• Equipment inspections and condition monitoring.
• Supporting production performance targets.
• Working safely within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Opportunity - Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer

As part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining, improving and optimising plant performance across a busy production and packaging operation. You will support both planned and reactive maintenance activities whilst contributing towards reliability improvements, continuous improvement projects and overall equipment effectiveness. This role will suit an engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and being actively involved on the factory floor.

Essential Requirements

• Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer Time-served Mechanical Fitter, Craftsperson or Apprentice
• Trained Engineer
• Previous manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding skills
• Experience using CMMS systems, reporting tools, and maintenance planning
• Experience completing both reactive and planned maintenance
• Strong attitude towards health & safety
• Ability to work independently and within a team
