Job summary

Wilde, a dynamic aparthotel operator, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor at Wilde, London Liverpool Street. You will work with the Chief Engineer to manage resources, lead the team, and ensure safety and efficiency across apartments and public areas.

With 2+ years in maintenance, you will conduct scheduled checks, manage parts stock, and drive environmental initiatives while collaborating with Housekeeping to maximize guest occupancy and experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years minimum experience in maintenance in a similar environment like hotels or properties.
• Knowledge of country/property-specific maintenance, safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance team with scheduling and resource allocation.
• Conduct planned maintenance checks and perform reactive maintenance.
• Carry out daily/weekly/monthly safety checks and ensure everything is in working order.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance; promote environmental safety measures.
• Manage stock and purchasing of department equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and monitor building/technical systems.
• Resolve complaints with the Chief Engineer or General Manager when needed.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping to keep rooms in presentable, ready state.
• Support environmental and social sustainability criteria set by Staycity Group and external programmes.
• Represent Wilde with enthusiasm and maintain brand standards.

We would love you to have

• Previous relevant experience and up to date knowledge of country/property specific maintenance, safety, and health regulations in a similar environment or property/hotel (2+ years minimum is required)

What you can do for us

• Work with the Chief Engineer and Maintenance team to manage department resources and optimises the team’s work by drawing up and coordinating schedules according to need. Assist the Chief Engineer with managing the team, leading with kindness and respect.
• Supporting planned maintenance checks and take a hands‑on approach to reactive maintenance.
• Deliver daily, weekly and monthly safety checks as well as ensuring everything is in working order in the apartments and public areas,
• Supervise and part in preventive and curative maintenance of the premises and equipment while promoting and contributing to setting up internal measures for the protection of the environment
• Manage stocks and purchasing of equipment and supplies for the department
• Ensure compliance with current safety procedures, and control the condition of the building, technical equipment and all safety and alarm systems in the property
• Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately
• Assist with complaints where possible and resolve them in conjunction with the Chief Engineer or General Manager
• Collaborate closely with our Housekeeping team to ensure all rooms are in presentable working order at all times to ensure maximum guest occupancy and experience
• As part of our Operations team, demonstrate a commitment to operating in accordance with the environmental and social sustainability criteria set by Staycity Group and external programmes such as Green Key
