Job summary

Staycity Group is seeking a General Manager for our Tivoli aparthotel in an extremely busy property. You will lead all departments, drive guest experience, and implement strategic plans to maximise revenue and service standards across the hotel.

The role requires proven leadership in hospitality, strong English communication, and a proactive approach to improving operations. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a leadership program to develop your capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a hotel or aparthotel setting.
• Full working proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated success in driving revenues through commercial initiatives.
• Ability to lead and inspire teams across departments.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.

Responsibilities

• Support all heads of department in running the property, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales and revenue.
• Ensure departments operate within brand SOPs and take timely action on feedback.
• Regularly evaluate performance, provide on-the-job training and hold team discussions.
• Produce forecasts for revenues and costs and monitor budgets.
• Ensure hotel compliance with legislation and Staycity requirements on H&S and other regulations.
• Deliver department training plans aligned with strategic goals.
• Foster collaboration across departments and effective communication.
• Act on guest feedback and resolve disputes in a professional manner.

• A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred

What you can do for us

• Support all HODs in all aspects of running the property, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales and revenue
• Ensure that all departments operate within the Staycity Group brand SOPs, monitoring and taking action to any feedback within a timely manner
• Regularly evaluate individual and team performance against their goals to drive a high performance culture. Offer constructive feedback through on-the-job training, performance appraisals, one-on-one discussions, and team meetings.
• Produce forecasts for revenues and costs and monitor that these are maintained within budgetary constraints and communicate to the EOD any shortcomings as soon as possible
• Ensure the hotel complies with all legislation and Staycity Group requirements regarding H&S and any other statutory regulations
• Enhance the team's skills and knowledge by delivering department-specific training plans that align with our strategic goals
• Cultivate collaborative relationships with other departments, fostering effective communication and teamwork across the organization.
• Monitor and action feedback received through guest satisfaction surveys, 3rd party websites and from guests after, and during their stay and resolve any guest disputes and complaints in a professional manner and within guidelines issued
