Job description

Our Client is a leading supplier of Industrial Products and Services, helping their customers to improve their availability, reduce downtime and keep production running. They are looking to attract a Maintenance Store Operator for their Customer Site - a leading Pharma Company in Limerick. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys ownership, accuracy and customer interaction. You will take responsibility for running the maintenance stores safely and efficiently, making sure stock is controlled, critical parts are available and engineering teams receive the support they need when it matters most.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be the first point of support for the customer’s maintenance, engineering and production teams, delivering a responsive and professional stores service.
  • Receive deliveries, verify quantities and condition, process documentation and put stock away promptly.
  • Issue parts and consumables accurately, recording every transaction in the agreed system.
  • Maintain accurate stock records through cycle counts, stock checks and disciplined investigation of any variances.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels, identify shortages early and raise replenishment requirements.
  • Keep the stores clean, organised, clearly labelled and compliant with site health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Manage returns, repairs, warranties, obsolete stock and quarantine areas in line with agreed processes.
  • Support vending, consignment, barcode or other inventory solutions used on site.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customer contacts to resolve issues quickly and prevent repeat problems.
  • Use data and day-to-day observations to suggest improvements that reduce waste, cost and downtime.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory, maintenance or industrial environment — or the motivation to develop quickly in a hands‑on operational role.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with part numbers, quantities and documentation.
  • A customer‑first mindset and a calm, practical approach to problem solving.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to work with people at all levels on site. Comfort using stock‑management systems, Microsoft Office and barcode or scanning tools.
  • A safety‑first approach, with the discipline to follow site rules and agreed processes.
  • The ability to organise your workload, prioritise urgent requirements and work reliably with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of MRO products, engineering spares, tools, PPE or industrial consumables.
  • Experience with ERP, inventory‑control or vending systems.
  • Forklift or manual‑handling certification relevant to the site.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement, 5S or lean stores principles.
