Job summary

Jones Engineering in the Limerick region is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support maintenance operations in a regulated biotechnology facility. The role covers planning and coordinating electrical, mechanical and calibration maintenance to ensure work is safely planned and documented in line with GMP.

You will manage work orders through CMMS, coordinate labour and parts, and liaise with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality and EHS teams.

Qualifications

  • Technical qualification or relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Maintenance Engineering.
  • Experience in maintenance planning or maintenance coordination.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP, Permit-to-Work, LOTO/COHE and deviation processes would be an advantage.
  • Pharmaceutical/biotech regulated environment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance activities.
  • Support electrical, mechanical and calibration maintenance functions.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance work orders through the site CMMS.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, spare parts and equipment requirements.
  • Raise and manage relevant Permits to Work and isolation requirements.
  • Support maintenance-related deviations, investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Liaise with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality and EHS teams.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules, backlog and overdue activities.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation meets GMP and data integrity requirements.
  • Support shutdowns, outages and continuous improvement initiatives.

Position: Maintenance Planner

Location: Limerick Region

Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support maintenance operations within a regulated biotechnology facility in the Limerick region.

The role will cover the planning and coordination of electrical, mechanical and calibration/instrumentation maintenance activities, ensuring work is safely planned, correctly documented and completed in line with site procedures and GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Technical qualification or relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Maintenance Engineering.
  • Previous maintenance planning or maintenance coordination experience.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of GMP, Permit-to-Work, LOTO/COHE and deviation processes would be an advantage.
