Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group seeks a senior maintenance leader to drive the engineering agenda at a major manufacturing site in County Monaghan, Ireland. Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of leading change.
• Advanced maintenance and project management knowledge.
• Systematic approach to H&S, Environmental and Planned Maintenance.
• Experience with CMMS and project management systems.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and budget management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver maintenance systems and plans, ensuring robust reliability.
• Manage and develop engineering and technical implementation strategies.
• Oversee reporting, governance, and all planned/reactive maintenance activities.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with internal departments and partners.
• Build relationships and manage third-party providers and suppliers.
• Develop and manage training, performance systems, and budgets for the engineering team.
• Deliver continuous improvement projects and asset management programmes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory policies and standards.
• Optimize automated systems and core equipment reliability.
