Job description

We are recruiting an M&E Coordinator on behalf of a well-established Irish main contractor for a live project in Co. Clare. You'll take ownership of mechanical and electrical coordination from early services coordination right through to commissioning and handover.

This is a rare chance to work on a technically strong project in the Mid-West without relocating to Dublin an easy commute from Limerick, Ennis, Shannon or the wider Clare and Galway area.

If you've been coordinating M&E packages on the subcontractor side and want the broader remit that comes with working for a main contractor, this is a strong move. You'll sit at the centre of the project, working directly with the design team, the client and the specialist subcontractors.

About the Client

Our client is a long-established Irish general building and civil engineering contractor with a national footprint and a substantial pipeline. They deliver projects across the commercial, pharmaceutical, education, healthcare, residential, industrial and civil engineering sectors, on traditional, design and build and PPP procurement routes.

Importantly, they run a deliberately controlled number of contracts per management team. In practice that means senior support is genuinely available rather than nominal, and you won't be firefighting several jobs at once.

Full company details will be shared with shortlisted candidates ahead of any client introduction.

  • Coordinating mechanical, electrical and specialist services packages on site, keeping them aligned with the main construction programme
  • Reviewing M&E drawings, service routes and technical submittals; identifying and resolving clashes before they reach the trades

  • Reviewing RAMS and upholding site safety standards across all M&E activity

  • Competitive salary, negotiable on experience
  • Company vehicle or car allowance
  • Pension and healthcare
  • Long-term security with an established and consistently busy contractor
  • Structured progression toward M&E Manager, backed by CPD and training investment
  • Sensible workload — a management culture built around not overloading its people
