Job summary

The Brehon Hotel in Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join our busy Brehon Bar team. You will report to the Bar Manager and help oversee daily operations across the hotel’s bar, restaurant, and function spaces.

You will lead a large team, deliver exceptional guest service, upsell effectively, and maintain high standards with trained staff. This role offers development opportunities and a vibrant, luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy Bar as a Hotel Bar Supervisor or Duty Manager within a 4* Hotel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage procedures/service in Restaurants, Bars and at busy functions.
• Excellent attention to detail, high standards!
• Can lead by example and motivate a large team
• Ability to build, train & retain a team
• Excellent communication and guest relation skills
• You enjoy working in the hospitality industry and want to progress your career

Responsibilities

• Excellent product knowledge to allow menu development, upselling & training.
• Create a memorable, luxury experience for our guests and ensure guest satisfaction
• Train, guide, and mentor team members to develop and improve overall team skills
• Maintain and implement effective standardised systems, processes, and controls.
• Be a role model for up-selling and ensure that employees upsell at every opportunity
