Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING in Ireland seeks a logistics team lead to drive daily warehouse activities and lead a team of logistics assistants. You will ensure KPI attainment and alignment with department goals while safeguarding safety and SOP compliance.

You will collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service, train new staff, manage ad-hoc projects, and implement 5S/Lean initiatives to raise operational excellence across the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a logistics team and coordinating daily warehouse activities.
• Strong ability to monitor and improve KPIs and department operations.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance in logistics environments.

• To lead a team of logistics assistants/team lead in carrying daily warehouse activities
• To lead the team in meeting Key Performance Indicators and department operations goals
• To ensure conformance of workplace safety and operations procedures
• To work closely with customers and internal stakeholders in ensuring seamless customer throughout
• Monitor staff performance and participate in annual staff appraisal; address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the company
• To train new logistics assistants
• To be able to handle ad-hoc logistics projects
• Plan and monitor team performance including giving coaching and counselling needed to deliver expected outcomes
• Implement work improvement initiative and programs such as 5S, Kaizens and LEAN with the goal of achieving Operational Excellence within the operations
• Ensure all changes in Department / Section communicated properly to the team
• Inventory Management using internal WMS and Customer's SAP system
• Ensure all billings are done timely & accurately with all necessary supporting documents
• Adhere to relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
• Maintain and ensure safe keeping and traceability of relevant customer's document /records
• Capture and update on all KPIs measurement, orders management, and orders' turnaround time metrics etc.
• Collate and compute the monthly KPI report
• Achieve& maintain consistent KPI, make suggestions to improve when necessary
