Job summary

Kintetsu World Express in Cork is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage and arrange international shipments by air, sea and road. You will support the team in day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance and timely coordination of shipments.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of customs procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full end to end shipment process
• Prepare all necessary documentation for customs entries for Air, Sea and Road freight
• Organising collections and coordinating with carriers across the KWE network
• Tracking consignments and managing pre alerts
• Communicate effectively with internal and overseas coworkers
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring clients are informed throughout the shipment lifecycle
• Oversee invoicing, job costings and freight documentation
• Any other duties assigned by the branch supervisor

Reporting to:

Branch Supervisor

At KWE we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who has a deep understanding for managing and arranging international shipments across air, sea and road freight operations. In this role you will support the team in the full day to day operations of the department while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards and ensuring timely coordination of shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full end to end shipment process
• Prepare all necessary documentation for customs entries for Air, Sea and Road freight
• Organising collections and coordinating with carriers across the KWE network
• Tracking consignments and managing pre alerts
• Communicate effectively with internal and overseas coworkers
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring clients are informed throughout the shipment lifecycle

Skills/ Experience:

• 2 / 3 years’ experience
• Knowledge of customs procedures
• Experience and knowledge of the freight forwarding sector
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and reporting skills
• Effective time management, planning and organisational skills
• Aptitude for problem solving
• Ability to work in a pressurised and dynamic environment
