Job summary

Spectrum Health seeks a physiotherapist for a nationwide locum role, covering absences and peaks in demand across multiple sites in Ireland. You will provide client-centred assessment and treatment and travel to sites as required.

The position requires CORU registration or eligibility, a CORU-approved qualification, and 2–3 years post-qualification experience, with a full driving licence and work rights in Ireland. The role offers full-time hours on a locum basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning across multiple sites
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with CORU and Spectrum Health standards
• Travel to and cover multiple locations as scheduled, including short-notice coverage
• Liaise with local clinical leads and admin staff to ensure continuity of care
• Manage caseload prioritisation and discharge planning
• Maintain clear clinical records to support handover
• Adhere to governance, safeguarding, incident reporting procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control, health and safety, and GDPR/data protection

Contract Type: Locum (full-time hours available)
Location: Nationwide — travel required across Spectrum Health sites (Ireland)
Reports to: Physiotherapy Lead / Clinical Manager

Role Purpose

To provide high-quality, client-centred physiotherapy assessment and treatment across Spectrum Health services, covering absences, peaks in demand, and service gaps at short notice across multiple sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for clients across assigned sites
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in line with CORU and Spectrum Health standards
• Travel to and cover multiple locations as scheduled, including at short notice where required
• Liaise with local clinical leads and administrative staff at each site to ensure continuity of care
• Manage caseload/referral prioritisation and discharge planning
• Maintain clear clinical records to support handover between sites and staff
• Adhere to clinical governance, safeguarding, and incident reporting procedures
• Ensure compliance with infection control, health and safety, and GDPR/data protection requirements

Essential Criteria

• Registered, or eligible for registration, with CORU on the Physiotherapists Register
• Recognised physiotherapy qualification approved by CORU
• Minimum 2–3 years' post-qualification clinical experience
• Full clean driving licence and own transport (nationwide travel required)
• Right to work in Ireland
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and time-management skills
• Comfortable working independently across varied and unfamiliar clinical settings

Desirable Criteria

• Experience across MSK, occupational health, or community settings
• Previous locum/multi-site experience
