Job summary

Jobgether seeks an Engineering Manager for Ubuntu Linux Kernel in Ireland. You will lead a globally distributed kernel engineering team, transitioning from hands-on leadership to formal people and project management while guiding kernel delivery, security, performance, and reliability across cloud, server, desktop and IoT platforms.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, coordinate delivery, and collaborate with silicon vendors and cloud partners to enable new hardware capabilities.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer or tech lead transitioning to management with strong leadership potential.
• Solid systems software background focusing on C and OS concepts; kernel exposure valued.
• Experience mentoring engineers, guiding complex projects, and influencing architecture.

Responsibilities

• Transition into people and project management while leveraging technical background.
• Lead a globally distributed Linux kernel engineering team and foster growth.
