Job summary

BEX GROUP is seeking a Lighting Design Engineer to support sales and project delivery by creating CAD-based lighting designs and managing multiple projects. You will provide technical and tendering support using Relux or Dialux, review CAD files, and ensure designs meet specifications.

You will work primarily with the Sales Team, delivering designs within timelines and taking ownership of projects, while contributing to tendering and product comparisons.

Qualifications

• Basic level lighting design experience using Relux or Dialux.
• Level 8 Technical Graduate in Engineering or Design.
• Experience working with CAD software.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales Team to deliver lighting design projects.
• Review CAD files to create compliant lighting designs.
• Deliver lighting designs within agreed timelines.
• Take ownership of allocated lighting design projects.
• Support the Sales team in tendering processes.
• Compare ROBUS vs competitor products in lighting reports.

Lighting Designer - Lighting and Electrification

Role Overview

Lighting Design Engineer supporting sales and project delivery by creating CAD-based lighting designs, managing multiple projects, and providing technical and tendering support using tools like Relux or Dialux

Responsibilities

• Working with the Sales Team primarily, and other key stakeholders in the delivery of lighting design projects.
• Review and interpret CAD files to create lighting designs that meet specification requirements
• Deliver lighting designs as requested by the Sales Team within agreed timelines
• Project Management, take ownership of lighting design projects allocated
• Support the Sales team in the tendering process
• Carry out a comparative analysis of ROBUS vs Competitor products through lighting designs and reports
• Assist in technical support functions as business needs demand.

Required Skills

• Basic level of Lighting design experience using Relux or Dialux
• Level 8 Technical Graduate in Engineering or Design.
• Experience in working with CAD.
• A self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as being able to work individually.
• Results focused, the ability to handle large volumes of data and to run multiple projects concurrently.
• Persistent and diligent with a focus on attention to detail.
• Assertive and dynamic with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant experience in the lighting industry.
• Completion of College modules linked to Lighting Design.
• Understanding of building services.
• Knowledge of BIM is preferred.
• Proven track record of office and industrial lighting design.
• Experience in working with CAD files to create suitable lighting designs.
• Good working knowledge of lighting-related standards, schemes, and calculations.
