Job description

Join Us in Shaping the Future of technical learning across Ireland

If you are passionate about building capability, creating high-quality learning experiences and helping technical professionals thrive, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact across a growing regional business. As Learning & Development Lead for Ireland, you will play a central role in designing, delivering and continuously improving learning that supports graduates, emerging talent, managers, leaders and professionals undertaking accredited development.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

This is a regional, delivery-focused learning and development role with responsibility for strengthening capability across Ireland. You will design, coordinate and deliver engaging learning solutions that are relevant, accessible and practical, combining face-to-face, virtual, self-directed and blended approaches to meet a wide range of development needs.

You will take ownership of the learner experience across core programmes, working closely with the Senior L&D Business Partner, the wider L&D team, HR colleagues, business leaders, subject matter experts, external providers and awarding bodies. The role spans the full programme lifecycle, from planning and scheduling through to facilitation, assessment, evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement.

You will also support the operation of Tetra Tech’s CMI Approved Centre in Ireland, including Foundation Chartered Manager provision where appropriately qualified and authorised. Alongside delivery and assessment activity, you will help maintain programme quality, accurate learner and financial records, supplier coordination, funding support and audit readiness. Although the role is focused on Ireland, you will remain closely connected to colleagues across the wider UK L&D team and will travel across the Republic of Ireland as required.

Your Impact in This Position

In the early stages, you will establish yourself as a trusted regional L&D contact by delivering high-quality learning, building strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring programmes run smoothly and consistently.

Over time, you will help shape how learning is delivered across Ireland by creating scalable digital and blended resources, improving the use of learner and programme data, strengthening assessment processes and supporting smarter decisions on L&D investment.

Longer term, this role offers the chance to build a strong platform for progression into senior practitioner, L&D business partnering, programme leadership or specialist pathways in digital learning, assessment, quality assurance or talent development.

Your Toolkit for Success at Tetra Tech RPS

At Tetra Tech we recruit using core capabilities - the toolkit of essential skills, experience, competencies, and responsibilities required to perform the role effectively. As we strive to find the best fit for this position, we are seeking individuals that meet a benchmark level of expertise. But we’ll let you in on a secret: there’s no such thing as the ‘perfect’ candidate. If you feel you meet 75% of the requirements for this role, we would love to hear from you.

Learning Facilitation and Learner Engagement

You will be confident delivering engaging learning in both face-to-face and virtual settings, creating inclusive sessions that encourage participation and make learning practical and relevant. This role will suit someone who can adapt their style to different audiences and who enjoys helping graduates, managers, leaders and professional learners build confidence, communication skills, commercial awareness and professional behaviours.

Learning Design and Digital Capability

You will be comfortable designing, adapting and quality-assuring learning for classroom, virtual and self-directed delivery. This includes creating resources that are clear, consistent and engaging, from presentations and workbooks to reflective activities, knowledge checks and digital content. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint and relevant digital learning tools will help you choose the right format for the learner and the business need.

Accredited Assessment and Quality Assurance

You will bring experience of working with accredited or professionally recognised learning and understand the importance of robust assessment and quality standards. You will be able to assess learner submissions against defined criteria, provide constructive feedback and support successful completion. Where appropriately qualified and authorised, you will also contribute to internal quality assurance through sampling, standardisation, assessor feedback and support for external quality processes.

Programme Coordination, Governance and Financial Control

You will have the organisational discipline to manage multiple learning activities across planning, scheduling, delivery, evaluation and improvement. This role requires accuracy, structure and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining records relating to attendance, participation, completion, feedback, expenditure and outcomes. You will also support supplier coordination, procurement activity, contract administration and documentation that stands up to governance and audit requirements.

Stakeholder Partnership, Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

You will be someone who builds effective working relationships across the business and can translate capability needs into practical learning solutions. Working with leaders, HR colleagues, SMEs, external providers and the wider L&D team, you will use feedback, participation data, completion information and quality measures to evaluate effectiveness and improve content, learner resources, delivery methods and investment decisions over time.

Qualifications & Experience

You will ideally hold, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience to, an assessor qualification such as CAVA and an internal quality assurance qualification. Experience of working with CMI, CPD or another recognised professional or awarding body is important. You should also bring strong experience in learning and development delivery, including facilitation, learning resource development, programme coordination and accurate record management.

A qualification in learning and development, human resources, coaching, management, project management or a related field would be advantageous. Additional training in digital learning design, facilitation, coaching, evaluation or adult learning would be beneficial. Experience with LMS administration, learner dashboards, digital learning platforms such as Articulate, Synthesia or Camtasia, funded training, grant claims, supplier management, graduate development, leadership pathways or career development would further strengthen your application. You must also be willing and able to travel across the Republic of Ireland.

Working Environment

This role can be based in Dublin, Cork or Galway and will involve travel across the Republic of Ireland as required.

We offer a flexible hybrid working model, combining home working, office collaboration and time with stakeholders and learners. Most colleagues typically attend the office two to three days per week, balancing flexibility with the benefits of face-to-face collaboration.
