Job summary

Personio seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to guide strategy, architecture, and execution for our Business Systems. You will lead a 5–10 person team across Salesforce and Zendesk, drive integrations with Workato/Mulesoft, and shape the Lead-to-Cash/ERP landscape.

You will mentor engineers, review vendor work, and advance architectures with AI-enabled automation while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent experience required.
10+ years IT experience including Systems Architecture of SaaS products.
4+ years leading software development teams.
5+ years architecting Salesforce solutions.
1+ year Zendesk experience with Zendesk tools.

Responsibilities

Lead a cross-functional team of 5–10 Salesforce Admins/Developers and Zendesk Engineers.
Manage offshore vendor relationships and ensure integration into workflows.
Architect complex Lead-to-Cash, CPQ, billing/ERP integrations.
Develop scalable architectures and roadmaps; prototype when needed.
Hands-on solution design, prototyping, and development tasks.
Conduct architectural reviews aligned with business needs and scalability.
Maintain architecture artifacts, patterns, and references.
Provide technical oversight for large transformational initiatives.
