Job summary

Emerald Locums is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Person in Charge (PIC) in Kilkenny, Ireland. The role oversees day-to-day operations of a disability service, leading multidisciplinary teams, families, and stakeholders to ensure person-centred care and high standards of service delivery.

The successful candidate will have a Level 7 qualification in Social Care or Nursing, plus a relevant management qualification and leadership experience within disability services.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience within disability services.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred care practices.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the service.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centred support is delivered at all times.
• Promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life for service users.
• Act as a key point of contact for families, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders.
• Support and supervise staff to maintain best practice standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Drive service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote the ethos, vision, and values of the organisation.
