Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Design Manager for a large-scale residential project in North Dublin. The role sits with a Tier 1 main contractor renowned for a strong project pipeline across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

You will lead design submissions, coordinate with the design team, manage risk, and drive forward schedules and site updates to ensure clean handovers and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Design management experience with a main contractor or developer is ideal, though candidates from architectural practices or design firms with relevant skills will be considered.
• Background in residential projects; exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Design Director and manage submission/approval process for designs and materials.
• Proactively address design risks by collaborating with the Design Team to devise solutions.
• Create forward-looking project plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with project management teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Demonstrate strong scheduling and program management abilities.
• Participate in site meetings, providing updates on project progress.
