Job summary

Murphy International Limited is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The role involves aiding internal commercial reporting, preparing valuations and payments, and controlling cost reports for clients.

You will manage subcontract procurement, administer subcontractor accounts, and handle contract administration including changes and final accounts. The ideal candidate will have a HND/degree and proven experience in a commercial role such as Assistant QS or QS,

Qualifications

• HND/Degree qualification with proven commercial experience in a similar role.
• Registered with RICS or ICES and working towards chartership.
• Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract, NEC preferable and Standard Methods of Measurement.

Responsibilities

• Aid in internal commercial reporting and other required reports.
• Prepare valuations and applications for payment with full documentation per contract.
• Control cost reports to the client with contractually compliant documentation.
• Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
• Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts and final accounts.
• Contract administration including change management and registers.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and cost coding.
• Measure quantities per standard methods of measurement.
• Assist in preparation of project final accounts.
• Draft subcontracts including professional services.
