Job summary

Murphy International Limited is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead commercial management on projects in Ireland. You will support the Senior QS, manage subcontractor accounts, and drive cost control and reporting, with emphasis on change management and contract administration.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, full driving license, and willingness to travel across Ireland.

Qualifications

Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics (or set to graduate by Sep 2027)
Full driving license
Eligible to work in Ireland; sponsorship not offered

Responsibilities

Delivery of Commercial Management Services for individual projects.
Promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters with SHQE.
Assist the Senior QS on commercial issues within projects.
Prepare internal commercial reporting and valuations/payments with supporting documentation.
Prepare cost reports and manage subcontract/material procurement schedules.
Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisitions to final payments.
Manage change events, registers, and contract administration.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities; support cost control and value engineering.
Maintain project records, WIP and cash flow improvement plans.
Work away from home location within Ireland during the 2-year programme as required.
