Job summary

Purcell Construction in Dublin is seeking a Pre-Construction Planner to lead pre-construction activities from tender through to project handover to operations.

The role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, planning and tender processes, with a focus on risk and opportunity identification, and effective cross-team coordination across design, estimating and delivery teams. A full, clean driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing pre-construction activities within a Main Contractor or construction environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, project planning and tender processes.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation to identify risks and opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and coordination skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting value engineering and buildability initiatives.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Committed to delivering high-quality project outcomes and supporting successful pre-construction to delivery transitions.
• Full, valid and clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction process from tender stage through to project commencement.
• Coordinate tender reviews, bid submissions and planning activities with estimating, design, commercial and delivery teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information to identify risks and compliance requirements.
• Support design coordination, value engineering, construction methodologies and buildability reviews.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders to align proposals with programme and budget.
