Job summary

PACE Global in Dublin is seeking a strategic Lead Planner to manage major projects from pre-construction through delivery. You will own programme development, monitoring, and controls, aligning with project objectives and driving safe, efficient execution.

Reporting to the Regional Planning Manager, you will lead planning teams, collaborate with commercial, design and construction, and ensure delivery milestones are met while maintaining compliance with contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven track record of planning complex, large-scale construction projects within a main contracting environment.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar software.
• Membership of a recognised professional body (APM, PMI, CIOB, etc.).
• Experience in the integration of design and procurement within construction planning.
• Familiarity with BIM integration, cost management systems, and advanced risk management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project programmes across pre-construction, procurement, and construction phases.
• Identify critical paths, dependencies, and milestones; prepare scenario planning and recovery plans.
• Monitor progress against baseline; identify delays and implement mitigation measures.
• Produce high-level programme reports, dashboards, and metrics for stakeholders.
• Support change processes with accurate impact analysis on design or scope variations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to align on programme requirements and milestones.
• Proactively identify programme risks and ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
• Mentor and guide junior planners across the Dublin region.
