Job summary

Dillon Engineering Services is seeking a Lead Process Engineer for a pharmaceutical engineering project in Dublin. The role requires technical leadership across the design lifecycle, with strong experience in pharma processes, design basis, PFDs, equipment specs, and safety considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Senior or Lead Process Engineer role.
• Strong pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Proven delivery of process engineering and design within pharmaceutical projects.
• Experience with process design basis, PFDs, equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience with process calculations, technical studies and equipment selection.
• Knowledge of control philosophy, instrumentation data and process safety.
• Experience reviewing vendor documentation, RFQs and equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply process design criteria, guidelines and project requirements across all phases of process engineering.
• Develop process design basis and provide technical input throughout project development.
• Interface with licensors for design basis and evaluations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project.
• Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and ensure they reflect operability and safety requirements.
• Prepare metallurgy flow diagrams and ensure consistency with design documents.
• Prepare process and utility equipment specification sheets and equipment duty specs.
• Support the design of complete systems and complex equipment such as reactors.
• Develop instrumentation data and support control philosophies for complex systems.
• Perform process calculations, technical studies and conceptual development of major systems.
