TLI Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead HV cable design for MV/HV underground systems connected to the Irish grid. You will deliver feasibility through detailed design, applying EirGrid/ESBN standards and coordinating across civil, substation, and planning interfaces.

The role involves routing, trench design, and equipment selection, with emphasis on ensuring safety, quality, and timely project delivery within a growing engineering team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8 or higher).
• Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland or working toward.
• Strong understanding of HV power systems and cable installation.

Responsabilités

• Cable system engineering: ampacity, thermal performance, and HDD considerations.
• Civil & route design: trench layouts, joint bays, HDD profiles.
• Standards & compliance: EirGrid/ESBN and IEC guidance.
• Planning support: route reports and environmental inputs.
• Interfacing with internal/external teams for grid connections.
• Procurement & construction input: material take-offs and FATs.
• Deliverables: ratings, routes, drawings, and procurement specs.
