Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of high‑volume Java applications within our Cyber Security Services platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers, analysts and product stakeholders to define features, implement robust backend solutions and guide code quality.

As a key technical leader, you will mentor peers, conduct code reviews, and help scale the team’s capability within an Agile/SAFe environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Java SDK 1.8 or greater.
• Deep knowledge of SAFe/Agile processes.
• Extensive experience with JBoss, Tomcat, shell scripting, JSON, multi-threading, Maven, Linux, SQL, Pivotal, Kafka and Spring stack.
• Experience with cloud software development (PCF, Azure) and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop high performance, high volume Java applications.
• Provide direct development of software solutions and participate in planning of features and user stories.
• Assist with production support issues as SME and guider to junior team members.
