Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive backend development for high performance Java applications within the Cyber Security Services platform. You will work with engineers to deliver scalable solutions, resolve incidents, and guide features from concept to production while leveraging cloud and microservices tech.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring of junior engineers to sustain Mastercard’s high

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Java SDK 1.8 or greater.
• Experience with SAFe/Agile development processes.
• Strong background in Java EE tech stack including JBoss, Tomcat, Spring.
• Knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and SQL.
• Experience with Kafka, JSON, and multi-threading.
• Experience in cloud development and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop high performance, high volume Java applications.
• Deliver software solutions and provide direct implementation contributions.
• Assist with production support as incident SME.
• Collaborate with leads, engineers, and analysts to define features and stories.
• Contribute to planning and development of software solutions.
