Job summary

You will drive FEED and detailed design across 110kV‑400kV, ensure QA, review plant layouts, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors. The role emphasizes strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead technical workstreams within a hybrid working model in Ireland.

Qualifications

• HV substation design experience (110kV-400kV).
• Familiarity with EirGrid/National Grid and DNO standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to lead technical workstreams and contribute to strategic delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED and detailed design workstreams for clients.
• Ensure QA and timely delivery of design packages and bids.
• Review HV plant layouts, earthing, interlocking, busbar calculations, specifications.
• Coordinate with back-office engineers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Attend design reviews, hazard reviews, FAT and SAT; work in a team.
• Support tendering activities and contribute to technical offers.
