Job summary

Elevate Partners seeks a senior trader to design and lead a European Equity Options market-making desk from the ground up. You will collaborate with the Head of Trading to define strategy, adapt existing tools, and drive the build of new analytics and trading workflows.

You will manage a team of traders, optimize desk risk within approved parameters, and develop relationships with external counterparties while reporting to senior leadership in a flat, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified with considerable hands-on trading experience, ideally in derivatives.
• Natural trading ability and strong commercial judgement.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas to different audiences.
• Highly numerate and IT literate, and a genuine team player.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Head of Trading to design the strategy for a new Single Stock Options desk.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of traders.
• Manage desk positions within risk parameters and optimise use of trading capital.
• Build relationships internally and externally, sharing market insight.
• Set priorities and manage the desk direction.
