Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal EIA Consultant for the Energy Sector to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering EIARs and manage complex consenting processes in Ireland. You will mentor staff, drive business development, and maintain governance across environmental legislation to influence national infrastructure outcomes.

You will coordinate large energy project teams, manage risk, and engage clients and regulators, fostering innovation and high-quality deliverables in a hybrid working

Qualifications

• Experience leading EIAR and consenting workstreams.
• Exposure to energy-sector infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff and build internal capability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate large teams and lead environmental project teams in the Energy Sector to successful delivery outcomes.
• Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks to project delivery.
• Ensure governance and compliance management in regard to environmental legislation and policies.
• Engage stakeholders across development consent processes to secure project approvals.
• Promote innovation to improve workstream efficiencies and portfolio development.
• Mentor and support the technical and personal development of colleagues.
• Support business development and sales opportunities for the portfolio of solutions.
• Lead communications with clients and stakeholders to align expectations.
• Develop delivery plans for projects and ensure objectives are met.
• Challenge the status quo and maintain high performance in changing environments.
• Ensure technical assurance of deliverables through robust processes.
