Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Ireland is seeking a Principal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultant to join the Environment Team in Galway or Dublin. The role focuses on energy infrastructure and energy-transition projects, including renewable generation, grid and transmission, energy storage and low-carbon technologies.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, deliver EIARs, engage with clients and regulators, mentor colleagues, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Technically credible in leading complex EIAR and consenting workstreams.
• Ability to work with planners, engineers, regulators and subconsultants.
• Strong written and verbal communication to non-specialist audiences.
• Commercially aware with scope, programme, budget, quality and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary EIAR and consenting workstreams in the Energy Sector.
• Coordinate large teams and manage project delivery risks.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders throughout development consent processes.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to EIA quality systems and processes.
