Job summary

RBK is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety, health, and environmental programs across construction projects in Ireland. The role requires developing proactive safety cultures, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with Irish and EU regulations.

The successful candidate will drive incident investigations, risk assessments, and EHS training, while implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 aligned systems to minimise environmental impact and enhance performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an EHS role within construction.
• Deep knowledge of Irish and EU health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Experience leading EHS audits and assessments on construction sites.
• Proven ability to deliver safety and environmental training programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and oversight of the organisation’s safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Ensure compliance with Irish and EU regulations including HSA and EPA standards.
• Oversee incident investigations and root-cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Present EHS performance metrics and trends to senior leadership.
• Manage the EHS department budget and safety technology investments.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard analyses, and mitigation planning.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain EHS documentation and records.
• Deliver safety induction, toolbox talks, and ongoing training for employees and subcontractors.
• Implement ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 aligned management systems.
