Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking an Environment, Health & Safety Manager to lead safety and environmental strategy during pre-construction for large international projects in Ireland. The role collaborates with design teams, estimators and clients to embed EHS considerations in planning and procurement, ensuring compliant, sustainable solutions.

The ideal candidate has NEBOSH Diploma and 5+ years in construction/industrial settings, with strong stakeholder management and knowledge of global safety

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Professional EHS qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, Level 8/9 qualification or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, engineering or industrial project environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale construction projects during pre-construction and planning phases.
• Strong knowledge of international health and safety legislation and standards.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic health, safety and environmental leadership during pre-construction.
• Support development of safe, sustainable and compliant project solutions.
• Ensure EHS considerations are integrated into project planning, design, procurement and delivery strategies.
• Develop project-specific EHS strategies, objectives and plans.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, client requirements and company standards across jurisdictions.
• Promote incident investigations and lessons learned across the business.
