Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead Data Centre design projects from concept to completion, ensuring efficient, secure, and operational facilities. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones, maintain quality, and comply with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years' experience as a Design Manager/Architect in Data Centre projects, with strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, plus familiarity

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience as a Design Manager/Architect delivering Data Centre projects or large-scale technical facilities.
• Strong understanding of Data Centre architecture, technical design, MEP coordination, and operational requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with local authority guidelines and compliance for Data Centre projects in Ireland/Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Data Centre design projects from concept through to completion.
• Oversee all design stages with client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams for compliance and functionality.
• Coordinate procurement, contract administration, and monitor construction delivery to meet milestones.
• Direct technical design development ensuring compliance with international standards and sustainability requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and reviews to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to Data Centre protocols.
• Manage project resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations as primary contact.
