Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead datacenter design decisions for a portfolio of projects, including new builds, expansions, and retrofits. You will manage internal and external design partners, apply global standards, and align with country regulations across regions.

The role requires extensive design leadership, MSc in engineering or architecture, and experience with MEP disciplines. You will influence decisions that affect capacity, density, and construction practice

Qualifications

• The candidate has design leadership experience in a MEP or mission critical setting.
• Advanced degree(s) in engineering or architecture; RA/AIA is a plus.
• Experience working with global design standards and multiple regions.

Responsibilities

• Owns and leads the design process for datacenter projects across regions.
• Coordinate architectural, mechanical and electrical partners to ensure technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with Equinix standards and country regulations.
• Manage design partners and suppliers, escalating issues when needed.
• Collaborate with regional teams to drive consistency and cost management.
