Job summary

Macdonald & Company in Navan, Co. Meath, seeks a Senior Architectural Technologist / Design Manager to lead the technical design and delivery of diverse developments from inception through construction to handover.

You will oversee coordination with structural, M&E, civil consultants and manage project schedules while ensuring compliance with Irish and UK regulations and BCAR processes. A strong leader with 10+ years' experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Architectural Technology (or equivalent).
• Experience: 10+ years in technical design and project management within Irish/UK construction sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead production, review, and issue of detailed architectural drawings and construction packages.
• Ensure compliance with Irish/UK Building Regulations, TGDs, and planning requirements.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams to integrate technical information.
• Manage site activities, RFIs, submittals, and inspections; drive BCAR compliance.
