Lead Airport Structures Foreman – Live Project

Job summary

VGC is recruiting an experienced Structures Foreman to supervise structural construction works on a live project at Dublin Airport. You will lead site crews and subcontractors delivering reinforced concrete, formwork, steel fixing and concrete pours, ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the programme.

Reporting to the Site Agent – Structures, you will coordinate with engineers, adjacent trades and logistics teams, maintain accurate site diaries

Qualifications

• Trade background with significant experience as a Structures Foreman or Chargehand.
• Proven experience delivering reinforced concrete and structural works.
• Experience supervising direct labour and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of structural construction methods, drawings and sequencing.
• Confident leadership and communication skills, coordinating crews in a safety-critical environment.
• Proactive approach to safety, quality and productivity.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• CSCS Supervisor / Safety Supervisor qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Experience in airports or high-security environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate structural works, direct labour and subcontractors.
• Plan daily activities and allocate labour, plant and materials to meet programme targets.
• Coordinate with engineers, adjacent trades and logistics teams to maintain efficient site operations.
• Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring crews understand and follow risk assessments and method statements.
• Enforce health, safety, environmental and quality requirements, including airport access rules, permits and airside procedures where applicable.
• Check works against drawings, specifications and inspection and test plans.
• Support pre-pour checks, concrete inspections and the timely resolution of defects.
• Monitor progress, identify constraints and support recovery planning where required.
• Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports and resource records.
• Assist with inspections, sign-off documentation and handover activities.
