Job summary

MSD Malaysia in Ireland's Dunboyne facility seeks a Manager, Laboratory Systems to lead the QC digital landscape, overseeing Empower, GLIMS/LIMS, SMP, DLR and MODA. Drive system builds, upgrades, validation and continuous improvement to support testing of materials, products and environmental monitoring.

The role requires SME-level expertise, strong leadership, and a track record in GMP pharma and SDLC, with a focus on data integrity and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in a technical discipline (Biochemistry/Chemistry/Engineering) with 6–10 years in Laboratory Systems.
• Proven GMP/Pharma experience and leadership of a high-performing team.
• SME knowledge configuring and maintaining LIMS/MODA/Empower systems; interest in coding/scripts.

Responsibilities

• Be an inspiring leader of a high-performing Laboratory Systems team.
• Lead projects on data management systems for instrument control (LIMS/MODA/Empower).
• Support cGMP and SDLC compliance including change control, document management and CAPAs.
• Drive digital capability upgrades and automation initiatives for lab efficiency and data integrity.
• Support technical transfers, NPI, and cross-functional collaboration across sites.
