Talbot Hotel Wexford is currently recruiting for a part-time Kitchen Porter to join our team. The role involves overseeing day-to-day Kitchen Porter activities and reporting to the Head Chef.

Job description

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join our team. This is a part-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Kitchen Porter activities of the hotel. The Kitchen Porter will report to the Head Chef.

Main Duties:

• To ensure that the kitchen is maintained to an acceptable standard of hygiene at all times;
• To assist chefs in any duties, as required;
• To ensure that all crockery is cleaned and available for the departments as they are required;
• Work positively within the team;

The successful candidate must have:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment would be a distinct advantage;
• A communicative level of English;
• Be a team player;
• Be able to work on own initiative;
• Be able to work under pressure;

The role involves shift and weekend work, so flexibility is required.
