Qualifications

• Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms and corridors.
• Interact politely with guests and help them feel at home.
• Adhere to hotel standards and health & safety requirements.
• Assist with public area duties and laundry when needed.

Job description

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for an Accommodation Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position. The Accommodation Assistant will report to the Accommodation Manager. The Accommodation Assistant will be required to assist in the Laundry on occasion.

Main Duties

• The servicing of guest bedrooms to include the bathroom and corridor areas;
• To interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner, making them feel at home;
• To be fully aware of the standards required by the hotel and to ensure all work carried out is in line with these standards;
• To ensure that the corridors are kept clean of trays and linen;
• To work in an efficient clean and tidy manner at all times;
• To be aware of health and safety procedures, ensuring that rules and regulations are adhered to at all times;
• To use care when handling all guests property, company property and materials;
• To work as part of a team at all times and assist others as required;
• To carry out public area duties as required;

The successful candidate must have

• Previous experience working in the accommodation department of a 4* hotel is desirable but not essential;
• Good communication skills;
• Laundry experience a distinct advantage;
• Communicative level of English;
• Flexible and available to work weekends;
