Job summary

Oliver Dunne Restaurants is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter for Nove Restaurant in Malahide. You will support chefs, maintain hygiene, and help ensure smooth service in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Experience is advantageous but not required. You’ll join a friendly team with opportunities for progression and staff meals on shift.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness.
• Positive, flexible attitude and good teamwork.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, utensils and crockery during and after service.
• Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors and equipment clean and sanitised.
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep as needed.
• Receiving and storing deliveries with proper stock rotation.
• Managing waste and recycling per kitchen procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness in line with HACCP standards.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Reporting equipment issues to the Head Chef.

Kitchen Porter - Nove Restaurant, Malahide

Role: Kitchen Porter

Location: Nove, Malahide, Co. Dublin

Reports to: Head Chef / Sous Chef

About The Role

Nove is looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You'll play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly - supporting the chefs, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring service flows without a hitch.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, utensils, and crockery efficiently during and after service
• Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and sanitised
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep (peeling, chopping, portioning) as needed
• Receiving and storing deliveries correctly (stock rotation, cold storage, dry goods)
• Managing waste and recycling in line with kitchen procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety standards
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• Reporting any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Head Chef

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience an advantage but not essential
